The 2/8th Australian Field Regiment Royal Australian Artillery, a unit of the 9th division, served in the Middle East, Australia and Borneo during 1939 - 1945.
The 2/8th Australian Field Regiment Association, was formed in 1945 to provide "Social Intercourse and Recreation; Helpfulness and Aid for Members and their Families; to keep ex-Members and their spouses, Families and Descendants together".
Current Status
Our last known member of the association turned 102yo 13/05/2023. He passed away on 13/11/2023 - LEST WE FORGET
As such the decision was made to retire the Association. This web site is maintained as a history of the assocation and of course those who served in the regiment.

As the current President of our Association let me welcome you to our website.
The year before last (2007) the members decided to amend our constitution so that our widows, wives, descendants and friends could be members. Had the constitution not been changed the association would no longer be in existence. The veteran members are glad that the Association will continue.
