2/8th Australian Field Regiment

The 2/8th Australian Field Regiment Association began in 1945. During the war a Womens' Auxilary
had operated to raise funds for the Regiment.

The first reunion was a "Smoke Night" held on 9th November 1945 with 80 members present.

The Regiment marched to the Shrine, for the first time, on Anzac Day 1946 and a Reunion was held on the 26th at the Commercial Road Drill Hall where 250 attended.
